Ortino Enterprises, Inc. is now
certified to test for individuals' use and handling of
Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates,
Amphetamines & Methamphetamines (Ecstasy) through
SecureTec's DrugWipe series of drug tests. Of note in
this series is the "DrugWipe 5" which simultaneously detects
any or all of these five drugs categories on an individual's
skin through perspiration or areas they have touched, and
can even be used to test rooms certain types of drugs have
been used in. Furthermore, testing is possible in some
situations without the subject's knowledge or presence
required.
The possibilities for this type
of surface testing are endless. We initially plan on
offering this service to parents and guardians who wish to
intervene in possible drug use/addictions within their own
family. These test kits are currently in stock and require one of our three certified Investigators to
administer. If you're in the Florida area,
contact us to discuss your
specific application.
Qualified
professionals may inquire with us to become certified to use
the DrugWipe tests. These tests are recognized by the
White House's Office for National Drug Policy and have been
used by the FBI, DEA, U.S. Customs, and many European
Union Police Forces. They are suitable for Law
Enforcement, schools, colleges, pre-employment, Probation,
families, on-going random drug testing, as well as many
other applications. We also have a specific test unit
which may be utilized by Home Inspectors during initial home
inspections to verify the absence of chemical residuals from
methamphetamine ("meth") labs. As many know, meth labs
can produce explosive gases.
Contact
us if you feel drug use is
present in your home, work, school, vehicle, or any other
situation.

JULY
10TH, 2007 - JEFFREY SCOTT RYALS CONVICTED IN FATAL 2002 HIT-AND-RUN

|
|
On Feb. 23,
2002, a hit-and-run driver caused the death of Michael Moritz, a
68-year-old Ohio man. Mortiz died 10 days after the accident from the injuries sustained in
the crash.
Ortino
Investigations was hired by the Attorney representing Mortiz's family
to investigate the incident after they the Sheriff's Office closed
their investigation "unfounded". No arrests had been made, and
it appeared that driver Jeffery Scott Ryals' crime was going to go
unpunished.
After
an in-depth investigation, Ortino Investigations was able to locate
important witnesses and obtain enough evidence for the State
Attorney's Office to issue an arrest warrant for Ryals on multiple charges surrounding the fatal crash. After a
two-day trial, jurors convicted Ryals of vehicular homicide for the
death of Michael Mortiz. Ryals was also found guilty of leaving
the scene of a crash resulting in injuries - Edwin Overmyer, one of
three passengers in the vehicle, suffered a broken ankle, a fractured
arm, broken ribs, and a dislocated hip that had to be replaced 3½
years later.
In
August 2007, Ryals received a twenty and a ten year sentence (to be
served concurrently) for the charges
stemming from the 2002 hit-and-run. |
